About

Hi! I’m Debosmita, from Kolkata, India. I’m passionate about photography. it’s not just a hobby, I live with it, dream of becoming a photographer, a professional. So Though I work in a Bengali newspaper as a copy editor, I think a lot of photography themes, stories, subjects. People, their behavior, expression, mostly of the children attracts me. Actually I love life.

  1. Im in awe at your sense of pride portrayed well in all your pictures. Rightly said that you don’t have to say anything! Excellent photojournalism. I like the way u’ve portrayed the colours and all the rituals of your place…

    1. 😀 thanks a lot… But I’ve realized that sometimes, in some places I’ve to explain what it is. As u’r an Indian (if i’m not wrong), u understood everything. But those who don’t belong to my country, don’t know anything about my culture, will not understand what I want to portray… 🙂

  2. yes you are right, i get it, but its often hard to get the same things across to other people who don’t share your culture, but i don see any such strictures in your pictures! they communicate across all strictures! specially the feelings behind them, afterall pictures are supposed to do that!

  3. Bengali’s make the most creative film directors of time! My favourites: Satyajit Ray, Aparna Sen. Wonderful photography. Cheers.
